I honestly haven&#039;t heard this elsewhere. If it is correct, doesn&#039;t that have massive implications for linkspam? You can&#039;t apply nofollow to something that isn&#039;t an anchor, so surely there would be huge benefit to a spammer to simply write their URL into blog comments rather than making them links, thereby getting it converted into a link without a nofollow?

I can&#039;t believe that this is the case, otherwise we would see a deluge of such &quot;links&quot;!</description>
