Yahoo turns 20

Yahoo turned 20 yesterday, and to celebrate it set a new world record for yodeling.

The company pulled together more than 3,400 people to set the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous yodel.

CEO Marissa Mayer’s posted the following picture on her Tumblr blog, with the caption: “We shattered the record by a factor of 2 (previously 1700 people), but they made us yodel for a minute straight!”

The occasion was also recognized by co-founder David Filo who sent his gratitude to users via Yahoo’s official Tumblr blog.

In addition to yodeling up a storm, the site pulled together a collection of the “20 Biggest Moments” across its news, finance and digital magazine channels, and switched out its logo with the following Yahoo birthday cake logo.
