The 3GSM World Congress is happening this week, so expect a variety of mobile announcements. Here’s a rundown on some that have caught my eye:
- Microsoft
Debuts 3 Windows Live Mobile Services from eWeek covers how Microsoft is
taking its
Windows Live Search For Mobile service out of beta today. (Note: now officially announced here). Let’s hope they
make it easier to find the app, as I covered in my
Ironically, You Need A
Map To Find Google & Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Map Apps article.
-
Yahoo ads going mobile from CNN Money covers how Yahoo has signed major
advertisers to run mobile ads in 18 countries.
- Vodafone
offers Google on the go from The Guardian covers that Google is to work
with Vodafone to produce a location-based version of Google Maps For Mobile.
- Yahoo Go For Mobile Goes "Gamma," LG Partnership Announced is from Search Engine Land, posted earlier — covering that Yahoo’s mobile Go suit has new features and a new deal with LG has been announced.

Good to see others as excited about the Congress as I am!
It’s interesting to see the fragmented exhibitor list, that might have soem interesting implications down the road with some of the big companies present and others that aren’t so present.
it looks like mobile technology going to be the next big thing.
A quick note to point out that we’ve been noticing and posting (with screen caps) ads from the Yahoo Mobile home page since December.
