Yahoo Testing A New Home Page Design

Yahoo appears to be testing a new home page design. Techno-Net captured it on a video and posted that video on YouTube for all to see.

Here are the changes I noticed in this new design test:

  • Cleaner User Interface
  • Search Bar Sticks At The Top
  • Left Menu Bar Is Static
  • Remove Story Blocks In One Click
  • Top News Image More Fluid In Transitions Of Stories
  • Middle Content Section Scrolls
  • Middle Content Section Has News Filters

Marissa Mayer is very into user interface design and we are expecting a change to the Yahoo home page.

Here is that video:

The news filters are highly reminiscent of Google’s new filter style.

Yahoo gets organized to stick on the horse of Google head but it remains good behind coach it does not look for the innovation which would make tip over the trend, it’s a pity!

    That made me laugh!

What if she’s also very into ponies? A fun home page w/ lots of ponies???

  • Mariya James

I think they are going to compete Google. I like the older one home page Yahoo has. So let see how new home page is gonna look alike. :)

I HATE THE DAMN THING! I AM NOT A BLIND MORON AND I DON’T NEED YAHOO TELLING ME WHAT THEY THINK I SHOULD BE READING OR WATCHING – THEY NEED TO GET OUT OF THE GOOGLE/FACEBOOK IDEA BEFORE THEY LOSE PEOPLE!

horrible. horrible. horrible. I have blasted customer service multiple times but i do not see them changing it back. They have lost me until they make it better. It doesn’t have to be a switch back to the old way, but it should at least be appealing to look at. worst web page i have ever seen.
