Yahoo put out a dizzying slew of press releases today aimed at highlighting its carrier partnerships and what it claims is its mobile leadership position. The core of these releases is the announcement of nine new Asian mobile operators, adding to the company’s other Asian carrier relationships. Yahoo’s oneSearch will provide mobile search for these operators, with monetization and revenue sharing as well. The mobile search utility is now available in 19 countries throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

The new carriers announced today include: Aircel Limited (India), BPL Mobile (India), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (India), DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Malaysia), PT EXCELCOMINDO PRATAMA Tbk. (Indonesia), PT Hutchison CP Telecom (Hutch 3; Indonesia), PT Indosat, Tbk (Indonesia), PCCW Mobile HK Limited (Hong Kong), and Starhub Ltd (Singapore). Yahoo previously announced relationships with Globe Telecom Inc. (Philippines), Idea Cellular Limited (India), LG Telecom (Korea), Maxis Communications Berhad (Malaysia), PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel; Indonesia), SmarTone-Vodafone (Hong Kong), and Taiwan Mobile Co (Taiwan).

These announcements follow the release of the Android SDK yesterday. Yahoo is racing ahead with business development for Go, its mobile application, and oneSearch. Yahoo’s Marco Boerries, head of mobile for the company, previously criticized Google’s mobile platform development efforts as a “distraction.”

Today, Yahoo also announced a Chinese language version of Go for Taiwan.
