Good morning, Marketers, Walmart is stepping up its ad game.
Known for being low in both prices and cashiers, Walmart is the largest company in the world by revenue. But with stiff competition from Amazon and social platforms like Pinterest and TikTok entering the shopping game, they’re (understandably) reconsidering their online strategy.
For the first time ever, they’re keeping up with the Krogers and expanding their ad reach to TikTok, Roku and Snap. Last week they also announced their self-service ad platform, which allows any eligible advertiser or brand to sign up and start serving ads within minutes.
This seems like a smart move – and one that ecommerce brands and advertisers may want to pay attention to ahead of the holiday season.
