I’m talking about leaving an actual, well thought out written review. According to a new Yelp survey, 85% of people trust written text over stars-only.
Yelp requires a written review, which could make it a more credible platform. But both Yelp and Google have been plagued by controversy over the years for extortion, harboring scammers, and inconsistent solicitation rules. And though 71% of those surveyed say they would no longer visit a business if they learned it had fake or compensated online reviews, it’s harder than ever knowing who to trust.
