Consumers prefer AI-generated content over human-written content – at least according to a Semrush survey. Surprisingly, audiences favored AI-created content in six head-to-head matchups, in a range of formats.

What AI excelled at: clarity, brevity and highlighting value for readers.

It’s definitely not time to retire humans yet from content creation. But AI can be a powerful, time-saving writing assistant. The real question – which wasn’t answered in the survey – is whether AI-generated content can deliver true ROI for brands (e.g., traffic, leads, revenue).
