Google is now testing AI overviews in the main Search results for a “subset of queries, on a small percentage of search traffic in the U.S.”

Once an opt-in only experience, as part of Google’s Search Generative Experience, now users in the U.S. might see AI-generated answers without opting in. And these AI overviews have introduced more opportunities for competitors to rank for your brand and product terms, as detailed in a new Authoritas analysis.
