Google metronome in search helps musicians keep a beat
Google's metronome default rate is 120 beats per minute, but the full range goes from 40 to 208 BPM.
Google has designed a groovy Easter egg to help musicians keep the beat.
Spotted by the Google Operating System blog, a Google search for “metronome” will deliver an interactive metronome — a tool used by musicians to mark time by sounding a steady beat — directly in search results.
Google’s metronome default rate is 120 BPM (beats per minute), but the full range goes from 40 beats per minute to 208, and it can be adjusted using the “-” and “+” buttons on either side of the scale. The color of the metronome UI changes along with the beat.
The metronome Easter egg worked on a desktop search but didn’t display on mobile.
