ninemsn Launches Mobilise In Australia, suchen.de Goes Mobile In Germany

ninemsn, a joint venture between the Microsoft and Australia’s Publishing and Broadcasting Limited, has launched a new, ad-supported mobile service called “mobilise.” It will feature news and branded content from ninemsn, as well as IM, mail and local search content and capabilities. The “off deck” service is going to be free to consumers and will feature a range of ad types, including banners, text ads, “branded mobile minisites” and PPCall opportunities. Citibank is an initial advertiser.
And German local search engine suchen.de, which is owned by Deutsche Telekom, has launched a mobile site in conjunction with mobile search provider mobilePeople. The new suchen.de mobile, which complements an existing SMS service, is focused on local mobile search.
