SEO bubbleOn the heels of acquiring Nine By Nine Blue along with its search analytics Blueprint software, digital and search marketing firm RKG announced today a new SEO predictive forecasting tool to be added to the Blueprint software suite.

In addition to the newly added SEO solution, RKG is launching a pilot program for companies interested in uncovering previously “not provided” search query data.

“To understand search, you have to understand why you were discovered and then how you can improve on this,” said RKG CEO George Gallate, “The ability to see what customers are searching for, including the ‘not provided’ segment, whether search is up or down and why and how to predict what impact SEO changes will have, is a homerun for any organization with a web presence.”

Using Google Webmaster Tools data, RKG’s newly added SEO solution segments all queries into topic areas, and then calculates CTRs at each position for each topic area. According to the announcement, the Blueprint software can predict the probable impact of traffic changes.

“By segmenting queries into topic areas, you get much better insight into what’s happening,” says former Nine By Nine Blue CEO Vanessa Fox.

Blueprint SEO Forecasting Tool

As a onetime ex-Googler and creator of the Google Webmaster Central, Fox developed the original Blueprint Software to help companies determine what content was working and what content needed to be modified. Now, with the new SEO forecasting tool, RKG claims companies will be able to see how content adjustments will impact their overall traffic.

Because the Blueprint software leverages Google Webmaster Tools as a data source, it can retrieve data directly from query logs, making it possible to pull “not provided” search query data. While companies must currently enroll in the pilot program in order to access “not provided” query data, RKG plans on integrating the “not provided” data analysis into the Blueprint software suite in the future.

Not only can RKG pull “not provided” query data, their analytics software provides search data well beyond the 90-days offered by Google Webmaster Tools. With Blueprint, search data can be pulled by the week, month or year.
