Good morning, Marketers, now that you are back at your desk after the Fourth of July weekend, this is just a reminder to not let seasonal traffic fool you.
I cannot tell you how many times I see search marketers and SEOs suggest there is some sort of Google Search algorithm update over a holiday because they see big traffic drops in their analytics. It is expected to see big traffic changes on a holiday.
So when you compare Monday, the Fourth of July to the previous Monday, June 27, you will generally see big differences. That is normal. People are searching less for your sites or client sites on holidays.
