A 10-year-old search feature will go away next month. The Google sitelinks search box will be deprecated on Nov. 21.

Now, while Google said they are dropping the feature due to lack of use and to keep the search results less cluttered, some of you may have loved using this feature over the past decade.

I’ve seen some heated posts in the various search communities with complaints about this feature going away. But we know the one constant with Google is change. I mean, just look at the almost daily search ranking volatility since the August core update.

Google loves to change. Try new things. Get rid of old features Create new features.

So while this old search feature is going away, I am confident we will continue to have new features in the future that you will grow to love. So, shall we embrace the change or resist it?
