Good morning, Marketers, who, or what, owns the basics?
“What if I told you [insert AI writer platform here] could write (and place) your SEO keywords for you? Sounds pretty sweet, right?” read a recent email I received. “As a treat for you, we’re introducing SEO integration into our Blog Post writer.”
Seems like marketers are suddenly paying real attention to these AI tools, though the prevailing thought is the tools have a ways to go before replacing humans. But what about replacing simple tasks like adding keywords to copy?
This all reminds me of discussion in PPC circles about how automation is taking manual tasks off of marketers’ plates, allowing them to spend more time on strategic activities. Is the same disruption headed for SEO?
More time for strategy seems like a good thing, but how will marketers learn the basics if those tasks are handled by machines?
