However, it’s still important to focus on first-party data collection, CRM integrity and advanced analytics, to ensure a more sustainable long-term strategy.

The approaches that Search Engine Land contributor Laura Schiele recommends specifically are:

  • Server-side tracking to collect first-party data
  • Setting up advanced platform analytics and shoring up CRM data
  • Testing different ways of looking at attribution
  • Aligning on North Star KPIs
  • Keeping a close eye on industry news and trends
