Google’s AI Overviews have crushed organic click-through rates (CTR), according to new research from Seer Interactive. CTR fell from 1.41% to 0.64% year-over-year on queries where AI Overviews appear.

The good news? Organic CTR is going up on queries when AI Overviews aren’t present. 

But there’s more bad news: CTR is down for searches with and without AI Overviews on the paid search side.
