Good morning, Marketers, on your mark, get set, go!
Marcela De Vivo’s piece on the R.A.C.E. framework for managing SEO is worth calling back. Essentially, she’s broken SEO down into four repeatable steps:
- Research – Both keyword and competitor.
- Audit(s) – Technical, content, E-A-T, backlinks, analytics.
- Create – Have a content calendar, decide on your cadence, go forth and make things.
- Empower – Measure results, derive insights, optimize for conversions.
Sure, it’s a simple framework for breaking down a long and complicated process. But beside organizing the approach, it’s also a great framework for explaining how SEO works to stakeholders who are not so close to it. And stay tuned, because she’ll be diving much deeper into each of these areas in coming weeks on Search Engine Land.
