Good morning, Marketers, there are 61 days until Universal Analytics is gone forever.
UA data collection ends on July 1, 2023, but Google has announced that users can access their data until July 1, 2024. Google is also taking the initiative to create GA4 accounts for existing UA users who haven’t done so yet.
Post-sunset, users will have Viewer access to historical data and reports, but not Editor access. Data can be exported, but no new data will be processed after the turndown.
Whether you decide to migrate to GA4, or a different 3rd-party tracking platform, this is your sign to export your historical data before you lose access for good.
