Google’s August 29th logo notes Michael Jackson’s birthday.

Google has commemorated birthdays of many famous people and events, such as Luciano Pavarotti, Lego, and Dr. Seuss.

Hmmmm. Slightly risky move I’d say.

I know that he’s everyone’s favourite dead singer right now, but he did have a rather shaky history – he may have been cleared of all charges, but I’m pretty sure many people think that there’s no smoke without fire.

They may well be wrong to think that, but I just wonder whether aligning yourself as a brand with someone who arouses those feelings is such a good idea.
