Google has announced the 6th annual Doodle 4 Google competition where children can earn win a $30,000 college scholarship, and a $50,000 technology grant for their school – amongst other prizes.
This year’s theme is “My Best Day Ever…” where the Doodle should represent ideas of what would be their best day ever. Google created this video to help inspire some creative Doodles:
The competition opened last night for students in grades K through 12 in the United States. The entries must be received by Google by March 22nd. On May 1st, Google will open up the finalists to public vote and then on May 22nd the winner will be flown to New York City for a national awards ceremony.
Of course, the winner also has his or her logo displayed on the Google homepage that day.
To participate, see the Doodle 4 Google site for details.
Last year’s winner was Dylan Hoffman’s Pirate Times Doodle.
