With the search marketing community largely holed up in home offices as the country tries to flatten the coronavirus curve, Search Engine Land has decided to dip our toes into the world of online meetups. Today, Search Engine Land’s Barry Schwartz hosted video hangout with personalities within the SEO community including:

  • Daniel Waisberg, Search Advocate at Google
  • Pedro Dias, Managing Partner att APIs3 & Former Googler
  • Lily Ray, Director of SEO at Path Interactive
  • Alexis Sanders, Senior SEO Manager at Merkle

The conversation ranged from how these SEOs are dealing with the new day-to-day during the COVID-19 crisis. We discussed how some are helping clients navigate these changes to daily life and business.

We also discussed which types of businesses are getting more or less traffic since March 10, and Alexis from Merkle shared some fascinating data.

The panel also weighed in on whether we think Google should be rolling out any algorithm updates during this crisis.

Watch the entire exchange above, and stay tuned for details on our next meetup.
