google launches adwords app for campaign management

Today, Google launched an Android app for AdWords. It is now live in the Google Play store.

This is the first time Google has launched a native app for monitoring and managing AdWords campaigns. When you launch it, you’ll see a dashboard view that offers a snapshot of the primary metrics: impressions, clicks, click-through rate as well as cost and conversions. You can dig in to metrics by ad group, day of week and device.

In terms of management functionality, you’ll be able to update bids and budgets from the app. Campaign suggestions are also available, along with the ability to activate them.

The AdWords app is available for devices that use Android 4.0 or later. Using iOS? Don’t despair. An Apple version is in the works, though no timing is available at this point.
