Google Mobile Search Tests Colored Dots In Result Snippets

Yet another user interface being tested in the Google Mobile search results...

A reader based in Almaty City, Kazakhstan, using the Chrome browser on his Android device, spotted a new Google mobile search results test. This new user interface displays four colored dots at the right bottom portion of the search result snippets. Clicking on the Google colored dots opens the site in the browser, it does not do anything special, I am told.

Here is a picture showing the green, blue, yellow and red dots at the bottom right of the snippets:

I cannot personally replicate this but this is indeed a very interesting test. I assume it is more of a stylistic improvement test versus a usability improvement test.
