Google Search App For iOS Gets 3D Touch & Google Maps iOS App Gets Gas Prices

Google has updated the iOS search app and maps over the past few days.

Google has updated both the Google iOS App and the Google Maps iOS app over the past few days.

The Google iOS search app now supports 3D touch for iPhone 6S devices. To use the 3D touch, hard press on the Google app icon to see shortcuts for search, image search and voice search. Here is a picture of what that looks like:

Google also added holiday hours to search results for restaurants, bars and local businesses, and you’ll also see a graph in results for stores and other places showing the busiest times of the day, which launched back in July of this year.

Google also brought support for Split View and Slide Over on iPad, so you can use it side-by-side with your other apps.

The Google Maps iOS App added the ability to see popular times, like the general Google app mentioned above. It also added gas prices based on nearby gas stations that send them that feed. Here is a picture:
