Google Ads is testing an AI-powered reporting tool that lets advertisers generate custom reports using natural language prompts.

Google Ads is rolling out a beta feature that uses AI to simplify report generation, letting advertisers create custom reports by typing natural language prompts.

Why we care. The AI-powered reporting tool simplifies data analysis, saves time, and makes insights more accessible, enabling faster and more informed decision-making for campaign optimization. By allowing you to “describe the report you want to generate,” it reduces the need for manual setup and enhances efficiency.

How it works. Advertisers can enter a prompt in plain English (e.g., “Show me ad performance by region”) to generate tailored reports.

What they’re saying. PPC expert Menachem Ani highlighted the beta in action via X, sharing a screenshot of Google Ads prompting users to “describe the report you want to generate.”

Big picture. AI tools like this can potentially empower advertisers by making complex data more accessible.

  • As Google continues integrating AI across its platforms, expect more user-friendly features designed to enhance productivity.

What’s next. This feature is still in beta and available to select advertisers. Wider rollout details remain unclear, but its success could set a new standard for ad platform reporting tools.
