Google launches iOS keyboard that lets you search in any app & more

Gboard, a new keyboard app for iOS, was launched today by Google to enable searching directly in your iOS keyboard - without leaving the app.

Google announced that they’ve launched GBoard, an iOS based keyboard app that you can install and use to search directly in any app, without having to leave the app. It doesn’t only let you search and send information from the keyboard on your iOS device but also let’s you find GIFs, emojis and more.

Here is a video demo of it in action:

As you can see, if you are using iMessage you can quickly search for information and embed that data directly in your message back to your friend.

Also, instead of scrolling to find your favorite emojis, you can find these emojis for example? or ? by searching for “dancer”. You can also search for GIFs and the Gboard keyboard has Glide Typing, which lets you type words by sliding your finger from key to key instead of tapping—so everything you do is just a little bit faster.
