About Martin Jeffrey

Martin Jeffrey has spent 27 years in search, long enough to remember when it wasn't obvious that search would matter. In 1998, a magazine article about Boolean search engines caught his eye and the data instinct kicked in.

He is the founder of Harton Works, a UK-based AI search optimisation consultancy whose Retrieval-First™ methodology helps brands become the sources AI systems cite and trust. His clients include West Bromwich Albion FC, Lego, and Jigsaw Education Group. Earlier in his career he worked with ASDA, Tesco, Burberry, Diageo, and Reebok.

A trusted expert source on search, Martin has been quoted in The New York Times, The Guardian, Newsweek, The Observer, and Computerworld.
