Google Opens Voting To Help Determine This Year’s “Doodle 4 Google” National Winner

Doodle for GoogleAfter opening its “Doodle 4 Google” contest to kindergarten through twelfth graders in February, Google has released its list of state winners, and started a public voting forum to help select this year’s national winner.

Asking students to create a Google logo based on something they would invent to make the world a better place, Google received more than 100,000 submissions. Of the 50 state winners selected, Google will select five finalists by age-group to determine the national winner:

Starting today through May 9, you can go to the Doodle 4 Google site to help select one winner for each age group. On May 21, we’ll host all 50 state winners at our headquarters in Mountain View, Calif., where we’ll reveal the five age group finalists as well as the national Doodle 4 Google winner.

Google said the national winner will get to visit the Doodle team at Google, and their winning submission will be animated and featured on Google’s homepage June 9.

You can vote for your favorite submission, like this one from the kindergarten through third-grade age group, on the Doodle 4 Google website:
