Bing has expanded its weather-related coverage with more information and resources, and also updated the display of that information at the same time. The new features are available only in English-language markets.
Bing’s blog post explains the new set of weather search features, which are available under the “Weather” tab after your initial search. In addition to the basic, current weather information for a given city, Bing also offers
- a five-day forecast from three providers, and a comparison tool to see them side-by-side
- a link to see detailed 10-day forecast information
- weather alert information
- a variety of weather maps for the given city, including air quality, pollen, Doppler radar and more
- an hourly forecast that scrolls out over 36 hours
- historical weather information for the given city (this data comes from Wolfram Alpha)
It’s a pretty impressive presentation. Here’s a full-page screenshot for “seattle weather.”
