Google Music Video Search Results Now Contain Links To Lyrics On Google Play

Google's music video search results also contain lyrics snippets with a link to the full lyrics on Google Play.

Earlier this week, we reported Google began showing lyrics to songs directly in the search results. Google is now showing long answers with the lyrics, and then link to the rest on Google Play. Google does license the content.

Now, Google is also displaying the lyrics, with the Google Play link, on video results that come up for song related queries.

For example, a search for [stairway to heaven video] displays a video from YouTube, the artist name and album name, the release date, followed by a snippet of lyrics, with a link to Google Play for the full lyrics.

There’s a feeling you get when you turn to a song and you know that the words have two meanings. Well it’s whispered that now if you go search the tune, maybe Google will lead you to reason. Ooh, it makes you wonder…
