Google News has changed how they display clusters of news. If you take a look at a news cluster, such as this one you will now notice links across the top that read “Full Coverage of articles, blogs, local sources, images, quotes and videos.”
You can then click view more articles within blogs, videos, or even within locals such as all of the Unites States, Columbia, Washington DC and so on (depending on the cluster you choose). Here is a screen capture of the page I see:

Postscript: Google’s announcement of the changes explains that the variety of content appearing on these story pages will depend on the types of material avalable:
“Depending on the most recent coverage and materials available for a given story, the page features top articles, quotes from the people in the story, and posts from news blogs. You’ll also find image thumbnails, videos, articles from sources based near the story, and a timeline of articles to trace media coverage of the story.”
The photos in the right column link to the source, whether it’s a Google-hosted news article or not. The videos can be played inline right on the news story page.

I gotta say I just love this. In the past, clicking on the “more articles” brought up a seemingly endless list of somewhat related content, which was often times simply duplicates of the source.
I love the option to view related photos and that blog posts are categorized seperately from “news articles.”
I does appear though that a handful of major sources have locked in top results on both the homepage and clusters top of fold. If the little guy breaks a story I wonder if they’ll get any recognizable placement.
New Interface of Google News is really User friendly. I remember previous interface was really confusing but now its really simple and cool
How long before they try to show Tweets alongside the news stories. I wonder how Twitter will take to them doing that! Might be the first round of dispute in a rather messy war between Google and Twitter
