Microsoft-Decision-1 being experimented with in Copilot and Bing
Microsoft announced the release of its “new decision-scoring model” named Microsoft-Decision-1 and it is already being tested in Copilot and Bing Search.
What is Microsoft-Decision-1. Microsoft said Microsoft-Decision-1 is its “new model for fast decision-scoring” that “is designed for routing, classification, prioritization, verification, and workflow control, making it easier to incorporate decision intelligence into existing applications, agents, and workflows in a secure, trusted environment.”
Microsoft also said it “delivers top performance in latency and quality on structured decision tasks to outperform both LLMs and other decision models.”
Used in Bing and Copilot. Rangan Majumder, the VP, Copilot Quality at Microsoft, posted on X, “We’re experimenting with it in Copilot and it’s pretty good! Very impressed with how quickly they improved it as well.”
Krishna Madhavan, Principal Product Manager at Microsoft AI, Bing, also said on X “we are always experimenting!”
Why we care. Microsoft, like Google and other AI companies, they continue to improve its AI and LLM systems. With that, they can continue to enhance search, like Bing Search.
