Products_1 With Product Listing Ad campaigns coming to an end this month, Adwords has launched a new tool to help users upgrade their PLA campaigns to Shopping campaigns in what it claims is just a, “…matter of clicks.” According to the announcement: [blockquote cite=”Google AdWords”]This tool creates a Shopping campaign from your regular PLA campaign, with a campaign structure and bids based on your regular PLA campaign and historical performance data. [/blockquote] Google offered the following screen shot of the upgrade tool: Google Shopping Campaign Upgrade tool While the new tool will be able to upgrade most campaigns, Google notes users still need to check their campaign budgets, settings and bids. It also said not all campaigns are compatible. For accounts using AdWords labels or groupings in their product targeting or inventory filters, data feeds must be updated with custom labels before using the upgrade tool, unless, Google says, users are happy to use another attribute to subdivide your inventory in Adwords directly. To find out which campaigns can be upgraded with the new tool, go to the “Settings” tab in an existing Product Listing Ad campaign. Google is also offering a “Learn with Google Hangout on Air” today at 10:00 a.m. PST to demonstrate the new upgrade tool.
