Google “Send To Your Phone” Comes To Local Knowledge Graph Search Box

Google has added the “Send to your phone” feature, which was on the Google Maps interface, now directly in the Google search results.

If you search for a location in Google web search, for example [googleplex], Google will show you a local Knowledge Graph box on the right-hand side of the search results. In that box, you will see “Send to your phone.” When you click it, it will send a push notification to your device with the directions.

When you click on send, it looks like this:

Then when you get the push notification on your device, it shows up like this on iOS:

When you click on it, it takes you to the location, where you can click “Get directions.”

Google explains in their help document that if your device is not shown, then you should make sure you’re signed in to Google Maps with the same account across your computer and mobile devices, with the latest version of Maps for mobile installed. If you are not receiving notifications, then see if your mobile device might have problems connecting to the network, and/or make sure your data or WiFi is turned on and you have notifications turned on.
