Today I got my iPhone and I decided to do a quick pictorial on using Google’s Mobile App for the iPhone. Here is my walkthrough:


Here is me finding and viewing the Google Mobile App directly in the Apple App Store on my iPhone:

I purchased it by clicking on the “FREE” button and signing into my Apple account. Once you purchase it, the app icon loads on your home screen and shows the status bar:

When the status bar goes away, then it is fully loaded:

I clicked on the icon to activate it and Google asked me if I want to send them my location information. I said yes.

The search interface is what I jumped to; here is me searching for my name:

I clicked for additional search options and received this list:

The app also offers quick search suggestions. I typed in Apple and they offered “Apple Store” and others:

So I requested nearby Apple store locations:

And when I clicked on it, it loaded Google Maps:

Click on the Google Maps right arrow and you get the store details:

It includes Search (web, images, etc.), Gmail, Docs, Calendar, Talk, Goog411, Maps, News, Notebook, Photos, Reader, YouTube, iGoogle, Blogger, and you can even sign into your Google Apps account.
