This is great, Google Alerts hasn’t been working at all lately. I’ll give it a shot.

Sounds wonderful. Google Alerts has been totally useless. Talkwalker is worth trying.

Hi Gary, thanks for the review.

Just for rectification, talkwalker isn’t using Google as a search engine but we are using our own crawling and extraction engine developed during the past 4 years which offers a great flexibility for ensuring data quality, speed and coverage.

You can find an overview of the supported syntax here: https://talkwalker.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1060564-what-forms-of-search-queries-are-respected-

Unfortunately we do not support filetype at this stage. Thanks and regards, Christophe

Cheers for the article Gary! Please do consider what @twitter-13969612:disqus corrected but aside of that we definitely will bring your thoughts to the table for Talkwalker Alerts’ improvements to come.

Probably I am missing something here. People complaining about Google alerts, can you’ll point out few drawbacks? I have been using it for quite some time now and so far it has worked fine for me.

But I don’t know what I don’t see. I will try TW now.

Ok. So I used talkwalker and so far I would say I am impressed.

I got 2 results which were around just posted around 45 minutes and 55 minutes ago and I got email alerts.

I used keywords search, quotes and brackets search.

Next, I will use Title and country strings.

    So far so Good.

    Good luck to the team.

I’m planning on A/B testing of Google Alerts vs Talkwalker for a couple of test search terms, it should be interesting.

The new book alert does not work at Google alert.
