Hi Kim, Great post! Very interesting information…I think the 2 billion people online is totally amazing…I remember clearly the days of 1995/1996 when the web first started to become really people through the masses….

Very informative post Kim. Do we really suffer from Internet fatigue? I’m biased on this one, but if what I see day to day in my business, I’d lean towards a yes.

I hear the health complaints of many an SEO and Social Media strategist, and besides long days spent in less than optimal posture, the “social” life I believe has put a time increase on those working online.

I like the idea of taking breaks, letting the wind go through your hair, and enjoying the beverage/s of your choice. :)

    Hi Kim, fantastic post.

I can’t help but wonder if the way the CNN question was phrased created a statistical bias.

I wonder if the question was phrased, “do you enjoy social networking?”, what the results would have been. Granted, the phrasing of this question is equally biased, but I believed it would have created about a 75% positive response rate.

Moreover, does it even matter if people are tired of social networking. I bet 75% of the people in this country are tired of getting out of bed in the morning, but it’s probably not going to stop them (hopefully not, anyways).

@johnlynch, I agree. The CNN poll didn’t quite fit with the article that inspired it either and the angle was misleading. Still, that high of a response, even if reactionary, is something to be aware of. Who wants to market to folks who are covering their ears from noise overload or unplugged out of sheer exhaustion? :)

@chiropractic, I work on two sites for bodyworkers and both of them plead with me to STOP with the Internet overload.

@nick…remember when web page backgrounds HAD to be gray? LOL
