Bing Updates Its Logo With Uppercase “B” & New Teal Blue Color
"It felt like the right time to freshen things up," says Microsoft spokesperson.
Bing has updated its logo, changing the “B” to uppercase and switching the color from yellow to teal blue.
A Microsoft representative told Search Engine Land that it felt like the right time to freshen things up.
“Bing is a successful standalone business and also a key component of many experiences inside and outside of Microsoft,” said the Microsoft representative, “We’re changing our look to complement our partners’ own brands and because teal looks great within experiences like Windows.”
In a report from Ad Age on Bing’s new logo, Rik van der Kooi, Microsoft’s corporate VP of advertiser and publisher solutions, said the company expects Bing to continue to grow and that Microsoft is thrilled with its trajectory.
“We are the only search engine that is experiencing steady, consistent growth, and [we] have increased our share for 26 consecutive quarters. And we’re not slowing down,” Rik van der Kooi told Ad Age. He went on to say Microsoft is, “… all in on search.”
The last time Bing updated its logo was 2013, creating an image it said was “… simple, real and direct.”
