Google, as expected, has added a new report type to give AdWords advertisers the ability to see the exact sites their ads are displaying on within Google’s content network. These Placement Performance reports will detail the domain, URL, impression, click, conversion and cost data for each site an ad appears on.

Unfortunately, the site-by-site detail will not be available within the AdSense for domains product. Google told me this is something they hope to add in the future.

Placement Performance reports are now available to all U.S. advertisers, and launching globally within weeks.


Advertisers have been requesting these types of reports ever since Google launched the content network. Google does allow advertisers exclude specific sites from displaying their content ads. But this new report gives advertisers the knowledge to make informed decisions on which sites to exclude from content network.
