Google announced improved event knowledge graph data in the search results, supporting more markup and schema types to make for a richer and more detailed knowledge graph box around event related queries. This brings four new updates to the event knowledge graph since launching last March.

Google added four new features to the event markup:

(1) Ticket links that can contain the on-sale date, availability, and a direct link to your preferred ticketing site:

(2) Delegated Event Listings so that if you do not have your events listing on your web site, you can delegate the information to be pulled from another source you trust:

(3) Comedians are now also supported, not just artists. You can learn more about that markup over here.

(4) Venue events so that you can show all the events taking place at a specific venue including concert venues, theaters, libraries, fairgrounds. Venues can learn more about that over here.
