Many tech bloggers and journalists hype Apple alot. When there’s a letdown, I guess, it feels more tragic for them. I don’t have any Apple devices, and Google Maps works great on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

I refuse to update my iphone OS because I much prefer google maps. ALL my contacts are stored/linked in google maps. It shows live traffic reports according to Google’s accurate data. I would never use the 3D feature…. it’s a gimmick.

Same here. I was out of town this weekend with an iOS6 user and we always had to keep coming back to my iOS5 phone with Google maps because of the problems we encountered with the iOS6 maps.

Simple example–we were looking for a Rocky Rococo restaurant in the Milwaukee metro area. His phone gave us one result; Google maps gave us 10.

Plus Google Map’s public transit info is outstanding.

As I work in Bangkok-based company, live traffic reports is really necessary for me. I refuse to update iOS since I have heard many bad reviews from the new iPhone map. One of my friend told me iPhone map said he could arrive his office in 10 mins which normally takes 30-40 because of traffic. That’s pretty dissapointing.
