Matt Cutts, Google’s currently on leave head of spam, has revealed his April Fools prank for 2015, it is named AutoSEO hosted at seo.ninja.

AutoSEO is a free open source tool that helps webmasters handle the task of SEO automatically. What does it do? Well, nothing, since it is a joke, but Matt Cutts explains:

One of the ideas that helped the World Wide Web succeed was that it separated presentation and content. You could write your text and decouple it from the problem of how the text looked. AutoSEO takes that to the next stage with search engines, so you don’t have to think about things like redirects.

He is asking webmasters who are interested to sign up for a trial of the software at seo.ninja, a domain he acquired in May 2014. Matt said he is “starting with a limited set of invites.” I guess sign up and who knows what tomorrow, April Fools, will bring to your inbox?

Expect a lot of April Fools pranks now through the next 30 hours or so.
