bing-logoIn partnership with Discovery Communications, Bing is honoring World Photography Day with a Hometown Homepage Photo Contest. According to the announcement, Bing wants, “Images that highlight and capture the beauty of your hometown.”

Starting today through September 3, Bing is asking users to submit photos of their hometown on Bing’s Homepage App on Facebook.

Ten finalist will be announced September 10 and their images posted on Bing’s Facebook page where fans can vote on their favorite photo. The winning photo and photographer will be showcased on Bing’s homepage on October 1, and the winner will be awarded a nokia Lumia 1020 camera, 500px membership and a canvas of the winning photo. Also, Bing and The Nature Conservancy will host a day of service in the winner’s hometown.
