The Telegraph reports the Derbyshire Police in the UK have released a photo of a man captured on Google’s Street Views as a possible suspect for theft of a car.

There is a man standing by the stolen car who no one really recognizes and believes should be standing next to the car. The Street View picture is pretty clear and has been used by police as a way to help locate this man for questioning. It is just very odd coincidence that the Google Street View car has passed at the same time the man was standing there.

This all may turn out to be nothing, but it wouldn’t be the first time the police used Google Maps to help them with their jobs. It was used to help save a kidnapped girl and to locate pool trespassers, amongst other cases.
