Google is rolling out a new Search Labs experiment named the Daily Listen that provides you a 5 minute or less daily overview of the stories and topics you’re interested in. It is like an audio version of your Google Discover feed.

What is it. The Daily Listen gives you AI generated audio that sums up the topics Google thinks you are interested in based on your Google history. A Google spokesperson told us the Daily Listen is “a personalized AI-powered audio experience on the Google app on Android and iOS, where you can easily stay up to date on the topics you care about. If you’ve tried NotebookLM’s Audio Overviews, it’s kind of like getting a quick rundown of things to know, personalized for you!”

The Daily Listen is are 5-minute or less episodes that show up on your Google home page in the Google iOS or Android app. It gives you an overview of the stories and topics you’re interested in in an audio format and has links to related stories to click out and explore topics more deeply.

Rooted in Discover. “Daily Listen is rooted in Discover, so the topics you follow on Search and Discover in the Google app will help you get a more personalized experience,” Google told us.

Below the audio screen, there is a “related stories” section that shows you links to these stories.

How to get it. This is now rolling out on iOS and Android within the Google App, although you might not see it yet. It is a Search Labs experiment which should be available over here, with more details soon.
