Microsoft is broadening its AI-driven advertising tools, now offering generative AI capabilities for creating display ad banners through its Copilot feature.

Why we care. This expansion makes Microsoft Advertising’s AI assistant even more versatile, automating asset creation across nearly all ad types and saving marketers significant time.

What’s new:

  • Generative AI now creates banner assets for display ads
  • Feature launched this week, joining other AI-assisted ad types
  • Video ad support coming soon

How it works. Copilot uses your landing page URL to automatically generate recommended image and copy assets.

The big picture. From Performance Max to Native ads, Microsoft is making Copilot a comprehensive AI companion for digital advertising.

Between the lines. By automating creative tasks, Microsoft aims to let advertisers focus more on strategy and less on asset production.
