Infographic: The Google Panda Update, One Year Later

One year ago, Google launched its “Panda Update” designed to filter low quality or “thin” content from its top search results.

Below, our infographic produced in conjunction with BlueGlass covers how Panda works, what it impacted and the various updates from Panda 1.0 through Panda 3.2 that have happened along the way.

After the infographic, you’ll also find more information about the Panda Update ranging from in-depth analysis of how it works, “winners and losers” and well as recovery tips.

(Note: An earlier version of this infographic listed scraper sites as something targeted by Panda 1.0. That wasn’t right, and we’ve updated the graphic to correct this).

Very interesting infographic;) The latest Google Panda update has definitely caused the ranking of websites to fluctuate. And the update has also removed content farms so that those website owners who are working hard on their websites don’t get beaten by content farms. I enjoyed this. Thanks.

This is an excellent infographic for techies and non techies alike. It’s a great resource for website designers, SEOs, and marketers to share with clients explaining what Panda is, and how it effects SERPs.

Too bad it already needs an update with Panda 3.3 which ran on Tuesday! ha

First I would like to say Awesome to this Infograph. Recently I have noticed authors and bloggers creating infographic view than explaining through prolonged content. This is simple and easy to understand by anyone. Panda update is really a good one. A site with poor content will work hard to bring back its position to compete with the good content site of the same niche.
This will create a healthy competition among the sites and they will provide a good and useful contents for the users.

Really useful infographic – particularly helpful when you’re trying to get colleagues who are not SEO focused to understand what’s been happening over the past 12 months in the SEO world.

I agree with the above – I hope this is kept up to date.
