Does anyone know how Google determines these prices to begin with? There doesn’t seem to be an option to do it on the business side.

Headline note: “Let’s” is a contraction of “Let us” (or “Lettuce,” if you’re a restaurateur who likes puns).

Setting price ranges might be available only to a set of users. Else it might be available only in places or only in google plus (more likely the latter).

This is good information for businesses to know because they need to make sure their websites and mobile websites displays this information so Google can easily extract the info. But we are curious about one thing, for example if a restaurant doesn’t have business hours on their website, does it mean the business won’t have a high ranking on Google’s search results?
