In an effort to bring its resources and benefits to a local level, SEMPO, the nonprofit organization for SEO and digital marketing professionals, is launching SEMPO Cities.

According to the announcement, the new initiative will replace informal local member groups with standardized support, including marketing materials, member education, toolkits, monthly calls and fundraising help.

SEMPO is planning a webinar on April 22 to go over details for the new initiative, and has designated October as its “SEMPO Cities Month.”

Anyone interested in being a leader on the local level can nominate themselves online here: SEMPO Cities Leader Nomination (registration closes May 8).

“City Leaders will retain control over their local activities, as well as responsibility for promoting them, but they’ll have the benefit of centrally-shared resources, information and support,” says the vice president of the new SEMPO Cities initiative Krista LaRivière.
